R.I.P. – Rappers in Prison

The project „Wir_Hier, Kunst unter Strafe“ by the director Beate Göbel gives prisoners the opportunity to reflect on their experiences with the means of biographical theater work and hip-hop. The pictures show inmates working on the subject of love and prison life with the support of rapper Furious Steez. The results were recorded in a guarded trip in a recording studio and released as a CD. The lyrics of the men were integrated into the theater format „Fight Club 2“. The inmates as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice were present at the primer. The pictures show the prisoners working on the lyrics. The inmates‘ faces were not allowed to be photographed to protect their identity. Produced on 35mm film.
